Rev. Jeffery W. Morrow was raised as a preacher’s kid in the Assemblies of God, and was the seventh child in a family of eight. Running from the Lord at an early age, he began a life of drug addiction which lasted for twelve years. On Labor Day 1992, after a three day drug binge, he knelt by his couch and dedicated his life to the Lord. Instantly, he was delivered from the bondage of the addiction. From that moment on, he began a life of pursuing the Lord, and began to study for the ministry. He received his ordination with the Assemblies of God.
In 1997, he answered the call to take a church that was down to eight people in Richton Park IL. From that moment on, God began to bless and move in so many areas of his life. They outgrew the church and moved to a new facility across the street in December of 2005. In 2009, SSCC began a season of planting churches. They planted three churches, and also started a Christian Academy.
Sharon was born in an Assembly of God family, and was the fifth child in a family of six. Her grandfather was the first lay minister of Calvary Assembly in Flossmoor, IL. Her heart is for the family, for women and for children; to see lives transformed by the power of God.
In February 2013, after fifteen years as Lead Pastor at SSCC, they answered the call to go to Calvary Assembly in Galesburg, Illinois . We believe God is getting ready to move powerfully throughout the city and surrounding areas.
Jeff and Sharon have been married since August 9, 1980. They have three children, Jeffery (married to Megan Guenther), Vanessa (married to Jon Rekash), and Jonathan. They also have four grandchildren, Noah, Elijah, Joshua and Alyssa.
