Our minds are constantly inundated with the negative. We watch the news, which will suck the life out of you in about five minutes. We listen to everyone in the lunch room talk about the boss and how they hate their job. Then we have the family issues and problems. (you know how fun that is) Oh, and don’t forget the church, you know, how bad the pastor is, and how the church just seems to be going in the wrong direction. By the time we get through the day, we’re exhausted because the world is falling apart.
Instead of filling our minds with the constant negative, the Bible says to “Fix your thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy.” (Phil 4:8)
How about we try something different this week…let’s do what the Word tells us to do. And when we do, instead of always looking at a glass that is half empty, maybe we’ll begin to see it for what it really is, HALF FULL!
